For over 70 years the McMullin family has provided real estate services to the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Beginning with James H. McMullin’s purchase of Real Estate Service Inc. (RESI) in 1946 RESI, the McMullin family has provided real estate sales, housing, and office building construction, and land and industrial development. Through McMullin Real Estate, LLC, organized by James B. McMullin, we have continued our family’s real estate endeavors with an emphasis on residential in-fill development in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Our focus has been exclusively residential properties in recent years. Our successful operations benefit from our associated business entities’ skilled team, including long-term employees, third-party designers and engineers, and strong banking relationships.
Meet the Team
James McMullin
President
James lives in Arlington with his wife, Julia, and their five (5) children. James began his real estate endeavors as an intern at RESI Management Corporation in 2000 and later became president. He assisted in the development and lease-up of an 84-unit apartment building in Arlington. He also was involved in commercial tenant construction projects and development of condominiums in Miami Beach, Florida.
Since 2006, James has performed multiple office tenant improvement projects, capital improvements for office and apartment buildings and renovation of single-family homes. He has helped direct both the design and construction aspects of these projects while continuing to provide property management services through RESI Management. Beginning in 2013 James has pursued residential development and building full time through McMullin Real Estate, LLC.

Julian Rodriguez
Superintendent
As the title indicates – Julian does it all! Julian has been doing residential construction in Northern Virginia since 1996 starting as a framing carpenter and later owning a framing company. He has helped build hundreds of homes over his career. He joined McMullin Real Estate’s building arm in 2014 and leads all on-site construction. His experience and ability to solve challenges earns the respect of contractors and appreciation of homeowners.

Julia manages five (5) children, church responsibilities and is vital to the business. She focuses her efforts on vetting pricing for lot acquisition, sales pricing as well as administrative items including Accounts Payable and Receivable.
